Series 1968-69 DZ 302ci SBC Rotating Assemblies

(American made exclusively for TRM by Diamond Racing Products, Callie's Crankshafts, & Manley Performance)

Signature Series Piston Features:

  • Our pistons are made of high-quality 4032 aluminum alloy forgings.  
  • Fully machined with the latest alloy in piston design technology for oil control, ring seal, increased piston and ring life, and horsepower.
  • Inboard pin boss forging, ultra flat 1/16, 1/16, 3/16 ring lands standard. Flat top or domes (true factory compression ratios), full floater or pressed pin configurations available. Available in .030, .040, and .060 oversizes.
  • Special order sizes and compression ratios available at a ($50.00) up charge.
  • Extra deep valve pockets for today’s latest performance cams.
  • Final pin fitting left to builder so as it can be custom fit for various applications.
  • Sold with premium 4130 chrome moly wrist pins ground to +0001 tolerance. Spiral locks are supplied (where applicable).
  • Compatible with most street nitrous oxide  systems. (will not work with competition or direct port systems)
  • No left or right hand parts. All parts are identical.
  • Installation sheet sent with all sets.
  • Matching piston ring sets with the latest in piston ring technology are available at an extra charge. These rings are moly top, cast second, and low tension oil for the ultimate in ring seal and oil control.

Signature Series Connecting Rod Features:

  • Our rods are made of forged 4340 aircraft quality steel.
  • The entire beam and cap area are profiled to remove stress risers and render the lightest possible rod  (550 grams). Our rods average 55 to 60 grams lighter than stock
  • They are fully shootpeened after machining.
  • Rod bolts are ARP 8740 alloy 3/8” (190,000psi) cap screws.
  • Premium ampco pin material on floater rods. Pressed pin rods are available special order.
  • Sets are shipped weight matched +1.5 grams.
  • Big and small ends finished to +.0002.
  • Bend and twist held to absolute minimum.
  • All our rods are individually boxed to insure they arrive undamaged ready to use.

Signature Series Crankshaft Features:

  • Made of 4340 steel and are produced using some of the toughest purity standards in the industry.
  • Dual keyways are standard and the keys are supplied with each crank.
  • “Perma-Tough” heat treating is used exclusively during production. This process does more than leave a thin layer of nitrogen-rich material on the crank surface. Perma-tough cranks do not require reheat treating. The closely controlled depth of the prema-tough heat treatment produces a substantial, durable wear layer that remains intact even after a .060” under regrind.
  • Manufactured with angalite drilling. The angalite advantage is created by drilling raised angular lightening holes in the rod thoroughs. These holes reduce rotating inertia, leaves additional material in the critical load bearing overlap region which increases bending strength and resistance to fatigue. An additional benefit to angalite drilling is the dura truss web. This web within each rod journal has shown to improve dimensional stability over a wide range of operating temperatures and loads. 
  • All oil holes on rod journals are machined with the teardrop opening for better oil flow to the rod bearing.
  • Our cranks have a counter bored bolt hole in the snout to avoid cross threading and make balancer installation easier. This hole is drilled and tapped extra deep for studs used for accessory drives in racing or custom belt applications.
  • Our cranks are dimensionally the same as OEM to avoid any major balancing or clearance issues if used with comparable OEM components.
  • All our cranks are shipped in special boxing to insure it arrives safely and undamaged ready for your use.
